Saturday morning, 7 am.
Location: My beach.
Breathe in. . . 1 2 3 4. . . breathe out . . . 1 2 3 4
The sun has dawned over the beach with what promises to be a gorgeous day.
I close my eyes. . . feel the warmth of the sun on my face.
The cool sand underfoot reminds me that the last tendrils of winter still remain.
The sun dances over the shallows like a million shimmering stars. . . what beauty.
I decided last night after my meditation class that on this rare occasion, with nothing much planned for the weekend, we needed to stop and simply take a breath.
Sometimes life gets too busy and we forget to r-e-l-a-x.
So this morning I am being mindful,
peaceful,
grateful,
enjoying the moment,
and simply being.
Just being . . . ME.
Our recent rough seas have changed the beach landscape, moved the sand and created some pretty shallows at low tide.
It’s easy to be at peace walking on this beach, inhaling the fresh air and drinking in natures beauty.
Amazing textures everywhere you look.
After a hectic week that was filled with too many juggling acts, events and activities, it’s nice to enjoy the moment.
I’m not planning anything today.
Sure there are a million things I could be doing. . . need to be doing. . . and want to be doing,
but I also appreciate the importance of taking time out to breathe.
Don’t we all need a day like this occasionally to revitalise and restore the balance to our lives.
Namaste.
