A gift to cheer me up

Okay.......so has anyone else ever wanted to do this to their computer???
I'm sure you are nodding your head in agreement. Computers are wonderful when they are working but what a headache when things go so terribly wrong.

Last week my computer automatically uploaded a Microsoft Update...as it always does, however, on this occasion I was (according to Microsoft) one of the 'very small proportion of consumers' who had a problem with said update. Oh yeah, GREAT!!!!!!

My system completely crashed and I am starting over again. The biggest loss was my personal and business address books of which I didn't have a backup. Live and learn.

I have just realised that I am a 'Computer Addict'. 5 days without my computer and I was completely lost. Sure I had heaps of other things to do but my day sadly revolves around my computer being on all day. Periodically I slide into the comfy swivel desk chair and check my emails, upload my orders and sneak a peek at what the girls in Blogland are doing. 5 days without a computer fix and i have the jitters. So, with most of my system now reloaded I am back in cyber space....hello everyone - I'll be dropping in to see you all over the next few hours.

Christmas has come early.......

My jittery nerves have been somewhat comforted by the arrival of a parcel in the post this morning. The beautiful Rachael from the Rose Room awarded me a prize in her November Give Away. Thank you Rachael and great big squeeze hugs for making my day.

The prize was this gorgeous little vintage tapestry bag which I know Rachael must have hated parting with given her passion for tapestry.

But wait...there is more......

Rachel not only sent this beautiful bag but filled it with other goodies too - as displayed by the lovely Princess Jess. How pretty is this pen? I'm going to make a pen holder for it so it can sit permanently on my desk.

Inside the bag was this ever so pretty vintage hankie.

and some lovely soap, a vintage rose and this handmade Christmas card.
I feel so spoilt. Thank you again Rachael. I have the perfect spot to display my bag when I take down the Christmas decorations.
