Shabby teacups and angels

Nothing says Shabbilicious quite like teacups and roses. . .

Except maybe. . .

tiny teacup angels!

Shabby Art Boutique Tilda Teacup Angel 1

This sweet bit of Tilda magic is from Tone Finnanger’s latest book, Fairy Tale Wonderland.

Tone’s inspiration for this pattern was the fairy tale. . . The Teaspoon Lady by Alf Proysen . . . which tells the story of Mrs Pepperpot.

Mrs. Pepperpot has a secret. . . she occasionally shrinks to the size of a pepperpot, but nevertheless always manages to cope with the tricky situations that she finds herself in.

I tweaked the pattern a little. . . as I always seem to do.

The pattern in the book is for a tiny angel that fits inside a petite teacup.

My teacup was more standard in size, therefore I needed a larger angel.

The Teacup angel shown has a dress made of fabric from the latest Tilda collection, The Country Escape.

I’ve used several of the gorgeous fabrics from this range in the new Princess Room in soft aqua’s and pretty pinks.
