Today I’m joining in on the 2012 Virtual Holiday Housewalk party. . .
being hosted by Jennifer Rizzo.
So please, come on in. . .
Although I live in Australia where we celebrate Christmas in the middle of summer . . .
I’m still dreaming of a white Christmas.
Everything is a little white, shabby and vintage this year. . .
From the master bedroom where cherubs are always present. . .
to the kitchen. . .
. . . and the family room.
Vintage book paper was used in many of my decorating projects. . .
Click these links for tutorials for the Believe blocks, vintage bird decorations, starry wreath and the paper rose tree.
Everything was kept simple this year. . . with just a few Christmas touches tucked in here and there.
All except one room.
One room was decorated for the only man-in-the-house.
Yes, that long suffering man-of-the-house who puts up with shabby, vintage and white pretties all year round. . .
likes a little traditional red and green at Christmas.
So he got the TV room. . . his favourite room of the house. . . in traditional colours.
It was still simple with touches of Christmas added to the current decor.
A 3 meter garland strung with lights, illuminates the main lounge room and walkway between rooms.
It feels very festive with all the fairy lights and candles dotted around the house.
Thank you for taking a wander through my Christmas home.
I hope you’ll hang around for the rest of Simply Christmas. . . which runs through to Christmas day.
If you’ve missed the earlier segments of Simply Christmas. . . where we put homemade and home baked back into the holidays, the daily posts start HERE.
I’ll be linking up at this week’s link parties and with these friends: French Country Cottage, The Vintage Farmhouse, 36th Avenue, Clean and Scentsible, Live Laugh Rowe, The DIY Dreamer, Transformation Thursday, At The Picket Fence, Nifty Thrifty Sunday and Tutorials & Tips Link party.
