A new creative addiction

Welcome to the Shabby Art Boutique. I hope you are having a wonderful week.

I'm still in Melbourne visiting my parents . . . my dad had surgery last week and has remained in ICU for the past 5 days. He's had a slow recovery, but seemed to turn the corner yesterday and was finally well enough to be transferred to a ward.

I've spent a lot of time over the past week sitting around and waiting . .  .
and not being one to let my hands lay idle, I found the perfect creative outlet . . .

.  . . these petite crochet flowers.

They are the perfect 'no brainer' creative project that are cheap, easy and very portable.

Now I'm no expert when it comes to crochet . . . in fact I haven't picked up a crochet hook since I was a kid, but these little mini flowers don't really need to be perfect.

I saved the pattern some time ago from here . . .
and planned to make these flowers for use as embellishments on cards, mixed media and the like.

Every time I see vintage rolls of crochet cotton in my thrifting travels I grab them . . . and now I have quite a large collection of sweet little crochet flowers made from gorgeous vintage coloured cottons.

I think these little flowers are a bit addictive!!
I'm sharing them this week with all my friends at these link parties. Please come by and check them out.
Hugs - Kerry
