Have you noticed how busy everyone seems to be?
Do you suffer from “I’m-so-busy-itis”?
I have to admit. . . sometimes I do. . . and it definitely doesn’t fit in with my ‘simple living’ lifestyle.
I realised this week that I’d scheduled a little ‘too much’ on the all important ‘TO DO’ list. . . oh dang, I was never getting anywhere near close to completing that list.
I’m busy in that heart racing, must keep going kind of way, but definitely not the overwhelming type of busy. It’s a busy month on the work front and I just needed to scale back, prioritize, and be realistic. . . I’m not Supermum!!
So I did just that. I made more lists. . . yes, what can I say, I’m a list making kind of girl. I wish I could be a more fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants person. . . but I’m not. I’m a planner. . . thinker. . . organiser. . . I’m a LIST girl. So lists it was! I broke it down into manageable chunks starting with. . .
the ‘really important must get done’ list,
the ‘you’ll get your butt kicked deadline’ list,
the ‘run out of food mid-week shopping’ list, [ggrrr]
the ‘not as important, but would help to get done’ list,
and finally the ‘start a list for next week’ list.
I knew I’d taken lists to a new level though when I started talking to the kids in lists. . .

Clean it!
Personally, I’m thinking ‘List Talking’ could take off. . . it’s simple, uncomplicated and straight to the point. Teenagers tend to get a bit ‘Argy Bargy’ when there’s too much conversation. . . this could work in our home.
Actually, as far as busy mums are concerned, I’m seeing ‘List Talking’ possibilities in all areas of life;

or what about. . .

Headache

Yupperdoodles – I’m on to something here. With all the time I’ll save on talking I’m bound to cross something extra off my ‘To Do’ list this week.
So my friends,
Work. Studio. Goodbye.
