Tealicious

Hi there,

Come on in. . . I’m just making a pot of tea, so please select your teacup.

My lovely friend Kris over at Tag Along Teddies has set down a challenge today. . . she wants to see everyone’s pretty teacups. So if like me, you are a bit partial to pretty teacups, pop on over to Kris’ house and follow the teacup trail.

I’m sure my penchant for old teacups started when I was a child. My grandparents were country folk and a teapot and teacups came to the table at every meal. I thought I was sooooo grown up being allowed to have hot tea from a dainty teacup.

Since then I have collected pretty fine china trios, miss-matched cups and saucers and even chippy cast offs.

Some I use every day. . .

others decorate my house. . .

and some, like this inherited gold tea set, take pride of place in my glass cabinet.

I love them all. . . even if they are chipped, cracked or separated from their saucer.

You may remember this one from my posts back here.

I picked it up while thrifting and even though I already have my fair share of pretty teacups, I couldn’t leave it behind.

I re-purposed it as a candle cup.

So my friends, when you have finished your cup of tea, why not share your teacups for Kris’ ‘Show us your teacup collection’ challenge.

Thanks for popping by for a spot of tea.
