Hi everyone,
I hope you’ve had an enjoyable Easter. These little bunnies are about all that is left of our Easter treats. There’s the odd half eaten chocolate bunny still laying around and my secret stash of mini Turkish Delight eggs…. but shhh, they’re all mine and I like to pace myself with this delectable indulgence.
Our school holidays are about to come to an end, with the girls returning to school on Wednesday, so we decided to make the most of the Easter break and spend a few days together as a family. The weather has been mostly warm and sunny with the exception of a lightning storm that rolled in late on Friday evening. It didn’t bring any rain but did provide some spectacular skies.
A massive electrical storm formed out to sea providing a three-hour lightning spectacular. Scores of people converged on the Tacking Point lighthouse (here at Port Macquarie) late on the evening of Good Friday to watch the light show that extended into the wee hours of Saturday morning.

Our beach was a hive of activity this morning when my DH and I took a morning stroll.
This beach is usually less busy than those which are in the tourist end of town, but the Easter break seems to have encouraged a zillion tourists to converge on our seaside community.
They were lined up early this morning to take a ride on the camels, but some dubious looking clouds are descending on us again now. I hope we get another storm!!
For those of us in Australia and New Zealand, today is ANZAC Day. The courage and sacrifices made by many generations is remembered on Anzac Day. We also thank the many men & women currently serving all around the world, so that we at home have peace. Lest we forget!
Enjoy the rest of your break.
