Hello Monday,
Wouldn’t you know it . . . it’s a miserable wet day here for our first day of school holidays. However, we did manage a quick getaway for the weekend, which was lovely. Nice to get some retail therapy in too.
When we returned home, I viewed my garden with fresh eyes. Sadly, it looks tired and dull without any colour.
All summer’s blooms are gone . . . except for this last rose bud.
I’ll look forward now to the first buds of spring!
Thank you to those who have already signed up for my upcoming e-course - ‘Embracing the Passion’.
I received quite a few similar emails over the weekend asking for more information, so I thought I ‘d address some of the FAQ’s here.
Is this an art journal making course?
No it’s not. This course is a four week journey to living a more creative life and we all want that – right!
I show you the steps to awaken your creativity, discover potential and find your passion in life. During the course we do use an art journal/note pad to document ideas and I give some basic art instruction to boost creativity, but the focus of this course remains on the process of creativity and not the making of an art journal.
Do you need to be able to paint or draw to do this course?
No you don’t. ‘Embracing the Passion’ is relevant to all areas of creativity; whether that be art, craft, sewing, music, writing or even blogging. You don’t need to be an artist - I’ll show you some easy techniques like doodling or stamping to add some pizazz to your pages, but if you don’t feel comfortable using art/craft techniques to express yourself, you may prefer to use a written diary.
What topics do you cover during the course?
The course starts with a journey of self discovery. I’ll give you tips on everything from the all important ‘ME’ time, to setting up a creative space and developing your own potential. We cover topics such as listening to your inner voice, quieting the mind, self esteem, creative block and achieving your goals, to name just a few. Creativity is a tool we can all access and utilize and this course takes you through all the steps to incorporate creativity in your daily life.
A frequently asked question was - How much time do I need to do this course?
Okay, this is entirely up to you. I realise that everyone is super busy these days and finding any extra time is difficult. I write on the blog and give worksheets every week day for 4 weeks (we have weekends off). Most people in the last course said they looked forward to checking their inbox, the blog and using their journal daily. There were a few ladies who worked fulltime that found it easier to sit down on the weekend and review the whole weeks content in one sitting. There’s no rules!! I give the information and tools and it is up to the individual how much time or effort they put into the course. 10 minutes a day is enough but I found most ladies fully embraced the experience and were eager to do more. The blog will remain open until you have completed what you want to do, plus you keep all the worksheet so you can always refer back to them at a later date.
So I hope this answers a few questions. There’s more information about the e-course here, plus you can also email me.
I’m really looking forward to hosting this e-course next month. It’s wonderful to watch the individual journeys, the new friendships and the blossoming of creative souls. I hope you can join us too.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
