2011… bring it on!

Well… that’s Christmas 2010 done and dusted!

I hope like my family, you too enjoyed your Christmas celebrations. For us it was a relaxed day full of feasting, presents, family and good memories. Our only hiccup was the dishwasher having a post lunch hissy fit, spewing water everywhere. Luckily I returned to the kitchen just in time to catch it before any real damage was done. The funny thing is, even though I have a dishwasher, I rarely use it. I thought everyone would appreciate having a day off ‘clean up’ duty on Christmas day and used the dishwasher for a change. In the end we had twice the workload with the dishes and a flooded kitchen to clean up. Perhaps a new dishwasher will be on the wish list for 2011!! LOL

I must have been on Santa’s ‘Nice List’ this year.

My Christmas stocking was filled with all kinds of delightful things. Even the item on the top of my wish list made it in there. How spoilt am I? It’s a Canon SX30 IS.

I’d been coveting the Canon G12 for ages, but at the last minute I switched to this little beauty - I just couldn’t go past the 35x optical zoom. I’m loving it!!

So with the Christmas celebrations over, I’ve enjoyed the Boxing Day sales (where I snared a few bargains), walks on the beach and spending time with my family. It’s been a fabulous few days.

There’s still more holiday fun to come and I’m looking forward to seeing in the New Year on Friday night.

I always see January 1st as a fresh start… and there’s lots to do. I usually pack up Christmas early in the New Year, clean the house and restore our usual decor. There’s calendars and diaries to be filled in and plans for a whole new year to be made.

As the New Year approaches, my wish for you my friends is to remember…

life is short,

break the rules,

forgive quickly,

love truly,

laugh uncontrollably,

and never regret anything that made you smile!

I’ll be back next week with lots of studio news and some sneak peaks at the new pattern range.
