Once upon a time, out in the blogosphere, there was a vintage girl living in a modern day world.

She dreamed of an old-fashioned Christmas, simply filled with homemade and home-baked.

She knew that a stress free and enjoyable Christmas would require planning and preparation, so she devised a 12 week plan.

‘Simply Christmas’ will run from the 1st October right through to Christmas Eve and each week will feature:

several craft, baking or decorating tutorials.

Being the ‘season of giving’ I will be gifting a handmade GIVEAWAY each week to someone randomly picked from my followers list. So make sure you are a follower to be in the running.

We’ll also have some wonderfully talented artists and crafters popping in to do Guest Posts and tutorials each week. Sshhhh… I believe they will come baring beautiful gifts for my readers as well, but don’t tell anyone.

Sooooo…. let’s get down to business. Evoking the simple joys of an old-fashioned Christmas doesn’t have to be a complicated affair. Preparing and planning now means you won’t be stressed with last minute hassles and can simply enjoy the Christmas season. So let’s begin by creating a Christmas Planner. Easy to make and easier to use, a Christmas Planner cuts through holiday clutter and keeps planning on track. Home to lists and recipes, calendars and gift ideas, this simple tool is your reference for all things Christmas, and it will become your best friend as we get ready for the season.

You will need an A4 folder or display wallet to store all your information in – there’s plenty of lists and yes, we will be checking them twice!! To help you in this preparation I have designed some basic worksheets for your planner which includes: calendars, budget sheets, card, gift, handmade gift making and stocking stuffers lists. Simply save the file to your computer and print off as many lists as required.

In keeping with this weeks theme, my first GIVEAWAY is this gorgeous hand painted Christmas Planner. It’s slightly smaller than the A4 format we are using for ‘Simply Christmas’ but it is already filled with pretty dividers and all the lists you will need to get your Christmas season organised.
