puppy love

Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot little puppies.

Specifically… 1.5 kg of black woolly cuddles.

This is Milly, the newest member of our family.

Standing just 22 cm high, this tiny toy poodle pup has turned our world upside down… literally!!

I think ‘SMITTEN’ would adequately describe the emotion in our home right now.

Let’s not dwell on the destruction zone Miss Milly leaves in her path. After all, over turned rubbish bins, ripped up carpet and gnawed antique furniture can all be overcome with puppy kisses.

Needless to say, not a lot of work has been accomplished this week… but work can wait, there’s puppy cuddles to be had.

I can honestly say it’s been a ‘DOG’ of a week. I’ve divided my time between looking after Milly and caring for my favourite furry child and studio buddy, Gypsy. My poor old girl had to undergo surgery on Tuesday for a nasty looking tumour that suddenly came up on her ear. The pathologies are back and even though it is a very rare growth, it thankfully turned out to be benign. While Gypsy was feeling so poorly I kept some distance between the dogs, but I think some bonding time will be in order this weekend. Hopefully they will love each other as much as we love them.
