The most wonderful time of the year…

Here in Australia the finals footy sirens are sounding. It doesn’t matter which code of footy you follow the point is, it’s finals time and that brings joy to many for an entirely different reason.

Please raise your hand if you are a Christmas connoisseur. Ohhhh yes... looked at all these crafty lasses raising their hands.

I don’t know about you, but for me, once the footy finals are over I start preparing for the "most wonderful time of the year" with joyful anticipation. Anyone who makes handmade gifts and decorations knows only too well that a little bit of planning and starting projects early goes a long way to having a stress free Christmas.

This year I’m going back to basics and preparing for an ‘old fashioned Christmas’. Do you remember the Christmases of our childhood when our lives seemed much simpler and the joys of Christmas were simpler too?

If the idea of a ‘Simply homemade Christmas’ sounds appealing to you then please join me in celebrating with...

‘Simply Christmas’ will demonstrate how to take back the holidays with an easy to follow blue print for adding a homemade touch to everything we do. The 12 weeks of Christmas will take us from planning and preparation in October right through to Santa’s Supper on Christmas Eve.

To help us celebrate I have invited some wonderfully talented artisans to share in this event, making it even more special. Each week during ‘Simply Christmas’ there will be free craft, baking and decorating tutorials, feature guest posters and artist profiles. And, keeping with the spirit of giving, each week there will be beautiful handmade GIVEAWAYS to win.

Yikes… I’m tingling – is this how Oprah feels???

But wait… there’s more!!

The fun doesn’t stop there… so we can have some reader participation there’s also plans for a blog hop and creative Mr Linky challenges. So what do you say – are you going to come along and join in the FUN of ‘Simply Christmas’?

I’m throwing on the apron and getting warmed up for what is going to be a really super old fashioned Christmas. There’s a button on my side-bar if you’d like to help promote this fun event.
