They say the Rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain... but here on the mid north coast yesterday, it fell from the sky in a torrential torrent over my studio.
Normally I don't mind rain and I actually quite enjoy the sound of it pitter pattering on my roof. What I don't like is when it comes down so heavy and fast that it floods my studio..... gggrrrrr!!!
Luckily I had headed the weather bureau's warning for storms and flash flooding so had moved all items from the floor up onto my classroom tables. Unfortunately, the towels I lay down on the floor did little to prevent the inundation of water under the door. So a mop up was needed late last night.
The rain has continued to fall heavily today but the storms have passed. Thankfully we didn't get hit with the tornado that hit further up at Lennox Heads - that would have been far worse.
Hopefully the only rain drops I have to deal with over the weekend are the painted kind.
