Too many things to list!

An elated Marilyn was thrilled to win my Giveaway last week but don't be disappointed that it wasn't you that won because I have a little something for everyone.

With Christmas fast approaching and everyone preparing for the chubby fat guys visit, I have designed a free project that can be used either as a stitchery or painted project for use on Christmas eve. I'll have it here for download on December 1st, so make sure you pop back then.

I've been a bit remiss in not showing you my beautiful belated birthday gift sent to me by the ever delightful Kris Mears of Tag Along Teddies.

My very own Buccaneer Bear

How gorgeous is this guy!!

Kris thought he would suit our new beach house and she was so right. He sits proudly on a shelf in our kitchen.... that's when he isn't sunning himself down at Lighthouse Beach.

He hasn't been given a piratey name yet - Kris left that up to me but so far he remains Pirate No Name. It appears we can't agree on a name so if you can make a suggestion, please do. I'm thinking Houdini would be a good name - he is frequently missing from his home on the shelf. It would appear that Miss Aimee has a strong attachment with my Buccaneer Bear and he is often found hiding in her room! Thank you once again for this gorgeous Buccaneer Bear Kris. The pattern for this bear and many other beautiful projects are available from Kris' website

On to other news, I promised to show you a bit of what's been happening in the studio this past few weeks. I've been very busy preparing for the next market and have been spending long hours at the easel.

Inspired by my girls and requests for artwork for their new beachy themed bedrooms, I started working on a new collection. It's very different from my usual style.... I guess you would call it pop art. It's kind of funky and fun.

This was just the start..... not all my beach pop art paintings are of svelte young things in bikinis [giggle], oh I'm having such fun with this. From here I moved onto more quirky designs inspired by a more realistic body shape. Next post I will share with you my Margarita Ladies.... as the name suggests, these are ladies of healthy proportions who are living life to the full... oh and they love a cocktail or two as well!! he he he....

My new paintings will be available for purchase at the Artist Market on December 6th or as Glicee prints in my webstore and Etsy shop in the coming weeks.
Also new for the market is a line of beachy home decor including signs, blackboards, fabric projects and these original seahorse designs....

These hanging seahorses are quite large and come in various beachy colours.

I've used glass beads, and beach pebbles for these two designs.

Also this past week, the lovely Kathryn from Our Shabby Cottage has awarded me the 'Splash Award'.
The Splash award is given to someone who is supposedly....alluring,amusing,inspiring,bewitching and impressive!

Goodness, am I really any of those things? Thank you Kathryn for sharing this award with me. Now I need to pass it on to some gals I think are alluring, amusing, inspiring, bewitching and impressive.

Lets see... there is:

Anna from Anna Rosa Designs
Kylie from A Bite of Country Cupcakes
Natasha from Natasha Burns
Alice from Thoughts of Alice W
