Hopping down the bunny trail.....

Thank you to all those gorgeous blogging friends who have followed and supported my post surgery progress. You'll notice the wheelchair countdown on my sidebar has gone.... yay, today was D-day.

I'm very pleased to say that after 4 months I have ditched the wheelchair... woo hoo!!

While my recovery is progressing along nicely there is still a little way to go. I need to have some more surgery and another bone graft in May but this surgery will not be as involved as the previous one in December and hopefully the recovery time will be quicker.

For now though, I am up and getting around on crutches and certainly feeling more human. There is a huge list of things I want to do to get my old life back on track but for now I will concentrate on building my energy levels up before another stint in bed come May. At least there is some light at the end of that tunnel now.

In my last post I told you about some Easter crafts I was making for my niece and nephews who arrived from Dubai on Saturday. They are here for 2.5 weeks and this is the first time we have had Easter together as a family.

The Easter Bunny needed to know where to stop!

Over the weekend the girls and I pulled out all our Easter decorations and added a bit of pizazz to the home decor. I know of course there is more to Easter than just the bunny and the chocolate, but who can resist having a bit of fun with this decorating theme?

This was my first attempt at an Easter Egg tree. I wish I had of used brighter colours for the eggs.

This was a different Easter egg tree we made from twigs and pretty scrapbook papers.

Now it feels like Easter!!!
Finally, my girls are now old enough to resist eating the Cadbury eggs we used in our displays... hhmmm, I wonder if I can be trusted?? Oh come on... I'm only human - and I heard chocolate is energy giving. I recon if I carefully unwrapped the foil I could re-wrap something to look like an egg - yeah, that's a plan!!!
