Ooh la la... okay, that's about the extent of my French language skills but none-the-less, I'm having a French inspired period right now. I have a French theme in my home decor and recently have been incorporating the same French theme into my paintings.
This is a painting I completed yesterday and as soon as it is varnished it will be available for sale. I've started on a whole series of 'shelf' paintings so expect to be seeing a few more of these in the coming weeks.

This cute, furry little face is from a painting that I made for my blogging buddy Kris for her birthday last week. 
I was a bit hesitant about the pink as Kris is not a pink person, but I was matching the colours up to a swatch of fabric Kris has used in her sewing room. Kris tells me that the colours matched perfectly so that is a huge relief.
I sewed some of the embellishments directly onto the canvas which gave it a great 3D effect.
Just a quick update today. I'm busy in the studio painting up some pretty Easter projects which I will show you in the next post.
