Surprise!!

I hadn't planned to do another post before Christmas but today has been a day of wonderful surprises which I just had to share with you. Firstly, a photo (although very unflattering) to prove you can type on a laptop while lying in bed.

Did you notice my bed buddy beside me? Oh yeah....that would be my furry friend Gypsy who also doubles as my studio buddy. Isn't it funny how our pets sense when something is going on. Gypsy hasn't left my side since I came home from hospital not even the lure of food has enticed her away. hhmmmm...actually she did abandon me once when Miss Aimee had Burger Rings - but just the once!!! Such undying loyalty. If only the kids were so committed...LOL

So onto the surprises...they were unexpected surprises from the postman.

First came this one from the lovely Kylie at A Bite of Country Cupcakes.

Pretty silver wrapping.....

...and then ta da... a gorgeous little handmade pink angel. See the little hanging that says 'Dream a little dream'. Kylie also made a beautiful Christmas card. Thank you Kylie - your kindness has really touched me and cheered me up. I have hung the little angel on my bedhead to watch over the bed buddy and me!

Then the postman came a knocking again....woo hoo.

This time it was a parcel from my bloggy buddy Kris of Tag Along Teddies. Kris is well known for her very generous 'just because' packages of which I have been the lucky recipient on several occasions.

There were two packages: the first one contained these beautiful writing pads and pens. Oh I will love using these...Kris suggests that I could give my minions orders on these but I think they are too pretty to waste on this task. I have my whistle for that [giggle]. No, I will be using these for personal notes so I can enjoy them.

Then the second package held more delights. This beautiful friendship cup adorned with cute little shoes and bags. A pretty cake teaspoon and a collection of herbal and specialty teas...mmmmm. Oh, won't I feel special using these!!

Thank you Kris from the bottom of my heart. Once again you have shown such generosity and I appreciate and treasure your frequent emails and chats.

I still can't believe blogland has brought me together with these beautiful and creative people. It takes a bit of sifting and sorting to find the true gems but please know that I love the special collection I call my friends.

Each of you is 'someone special' to me. it is such a great pity that we are scattered all over the globe and may never meet in person.
