mmm...strawberries

Another busy and very loooong 4 day weekend. We had the extra days here in Melbourne for the 'Melbourne Cup' - the race that stops a nation which was held on Tuesday.

First off it was my 'Pizza and Paint' night on Friday evening. This was a Project of the Month workshop, which this month was handmade cards. All the ladies finished their four handmade cards and we feasted on pizza and cheesecake too...mmmm.

The ladies had a great night full of fun and laughter. And oohhh the conversation ...hhmm...lets just say it wasn't only the pepperoni that was hot and spicy...LOL

The rest of the four day weekend consisted of 2 basketball games for Miss Aimee, a sleep over for teenagers, a birthday bash and a family picnic at Maroondah Dam, Healesville.

I did manage to get some painting done too. I'm madly finishing my 'Art For Sale' collection which I will be popping on my website in a few days. This weekends inspiration was strawberries. Are they not just the epitome of summer fruits? I love the way they look, smell and taste - so sweet.
