Pretties from the studio....

Yaaa.......hooooooo, doing my funny little version of the happy dance. Of course I would dance around the studio in celebration except my legs don't listen to my brain anymore and they just kind of wobble but none the less, I'm doing the happy dance, covered in glitter, lace and ribbon offcuts.
You'd be forgiven for wondering if I have been making those spirit filled cherry balls again but NO, this is a natural high. It is a dance to celebrate finally finishing the Christmas Collection. Oh gosh, I think you have all just fainted in shock. Pick yourselves up and join in the celebration.
What a mammoth task it posed for me this year but now that it is done I feel quite jubilant. Just waiting now for the pattern packets to come back from the printers and I'm still playing around with the codes for the shopping cart but hope to have the website uploaded by Wednesday night.
So, this week was all about pretties, shabby and vintage. All the usual embellishments have been my playthings; lots of pretty ribbons, beads, glitter (heaps of glitter), old sheet music and lots of pink.

This cute little Christmas angel sits in a painted stocking on my shabby 'Waiting For Santa' canvas.

I love the fun polka dot background. The stocking has space for you to personalise it with your families names and the message around the stocking reads "All the stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there".

There are lots of pretty tags too......

from Christmas cupcakes to pretty angels....

and even glittery roses make it to Christmas.

But I love blue too so I painted this sweet 'let it snow' tag as well. The set of 4 tags are all in the one pattern packet. They don't have to be used for tags of course - they would make really cute ornies for your Christmas tree too.

Here's my Vintage Angel. She is made from MDF and wears a gorgeous organza and silk dress adorned with pretty trim and lots of beading. Hmmm....having a bit of a beading fetish at present. Anyway, my vintage Angel has a crackled worn looking torso and wings made from old music sheets. You could use old buttons, rhinestones, old jewellery or any other old bits and pieces you have to embellish her.

Hope you enjoyed a sneak peek at my pretties. I'm off now to peel the globules of glitter encrusted hardened glue from my finger nails - don't you hate it when that happens?
Hugs,
Kerryanne
