Surprise in the post!

Don't you love it when your mail box contains pressies and not bills? I would like to have 2 mail boxes; one for the good stuff like presents and magazine subscriptions and another for the bills!! I don't suppose I would be in a hurry to empty the bill box too often.......hmmm rethinking this idea....perhaps not so good.
Anyway, lucky for me, my mail box contained the good stuff yesterday. First there was a beautiful silver wrapped package from the lovely Kris at Tag Along Teddies. Who would have thought I would be one of the lucky recipients of the mystery silver wrapped parcels she wrote about on her blog last week?
So what do you suppose was inside that pretty parcel? It was a very thoughtful 'Winter Care' package.

Kris made me a hand knitted Mermaid Blue scarf to keep me warm and filled the package with yummy sachets of hot chocolates and chai tea......plus...that's not all. There was also delicious kit kat bars too. Mmmmmm, how do you suppose she knew I like chocolate??? Ok, I do give lots of hints!!

So would you believe, today just happens to be one of the coldest, most miserable days here in Melbourne. The weather bureau has forcasted rain, local hail and thunder, with snow developing on the near by hills. SNOW.....yeah, I don't do snow...too cold for me. When is summer coming? I'd like 35 degrees please.

But I do get to wear my new scarf....

Okay that photo is a bit blurry but I do have to protect my 'International Woman of Mystery' persona. Hmmm....not really very mysterious either. I was just rushing off to do the school run this morning. So there is my beautiful long and warm scarf - thank you Kris. You made my day!!!

Also in the post was the current issue of Handmade - Vol 25 No 12.

I have a teacup and roses project in this issue - you may remember I showed the photo of the canvas awhile back. So flicking through the magazine I come to the '5 Minute Chat' page and who do you suppose is chatting with readers this month.....ok stop trying to guess.....it is me. I did the interview so long ago I had forgotten about it and there it is this month. Nothing particularly interesting there....well nothing you probably don't already know from reading my blog.

Finally got the Christmas Collection uploaded to the website yesterday...huge relief!! Just have to fill the orders now. I wonder if you can guess which of the 12 projects was the most popular? I can usually pick which one it will be. I get a vibe about a certain project and then I run them by my students who are always happy to give their critique and even make suggestions....thank you Vikki, yours was a winner for the stocking canvas. But sometimes, one just pops out of left field. If you would like to check out all of the new projects click here to visit my Christmas pages. My new Newletter is also up with lots of news and information click here.

Until next time,

Hugs,

Kerryanne
