Christmas countdown....150 days!!!

If you don't already know this fact, let me enlighten you - it is 150 days to Christmas...scary huh.

Well perhaps not for you but I am about to release my 2008 Christmas Collection which will signal the start of my own silly season - 'the busy season'.

With my projects almost at completion who would have thought a few little rusty bells could almost bring me undone???

Yep...all I needed was a handful of these little guys to finish one of my Christmas projects. Of course I have heaps of rusty bells in many different sizes but not the specific size I needed. So off I went in search of these rusty bells and what a headache it caused. Finally, to my relief, the lovely Michelle and Nette at The Primitive Pear had exactly what I need. The girls were so super organised and they went out of their way to get them to me the very next day. They couldn't have been more helpful so if you need primitive fixins or just want to check out some great primitive artwork - pay these very talented gals a visit at The Primitive Pear.

I can't show you yet what the bells were for but they might have something to do with Rudolph.......

After a busy week of Christmas crafting it was a nice change to attend a workshop with Hazel Anthony of Kintail Studio on Sunday. This is not the best photo as it was taken in bright light which loses a lot of the detail but you get the gist. This is a lid of a round wooden box - the Fairy Wren was painted using Jansen Art acrylics to emulate oils.

This week it is back to the Christmas projects to put all the finishing details in place and then I look forward to sharing them with you.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
