Well, it is Autumn in Melbourne and already the weather has turned bitterly cold - I hate cold weather!!!! Time for me to go into hibernation.
The only good thing about cold weather is it is perfect for snuggling up in a warm studio spending the days painting, which is exactly what I have been doing this past week.
The canvas is a commission for a magazine project. They wanted something pretty, shabby and sweet with teacups. The painted gingham border was something new I tried and it came out okay.

As usual my studio is filled to the rafters with my vintage finds, all in various stages of completion. I must have had a bit of a 'green' day recently with everything coming out in soft sage green covered in pink full bloom roses.

Sometimes just the silliest things can bring a smile to your face. Is this not the stupidest (but adorable) dog you have ever seen. When I work on the computer Gypsy comes up and sits on the day bed beside me. Today she is reclining with one leg cocked up like she is waiting for a tummy rub with this ridiculous look on her face. Sometimes I sit and wonder - 'what goes through her mind'?

Back to the studio now........oh....I am having a pink cupcake kind of day today.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
