At the start of every week I promise myself that I am going to catch up and perhaps even get ahead with my workload....but, somewhere between making faux cakes, preparing orders and painting canvases I never truly catch up. Could it be that I try to do too much........hhmmm perhaps yes but I guess I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm pleased to say there is some light at the end of the tunnel with the faux cakes at least. I stop production next week so can immerse myself in the other unfinished projects like: the collection of almost complete vintage treasures and shabby finds; the new range of canvas art; the completed shabby doodles book that is waiting to go to the printers and perhaps some time devoted to getting all said jobs listed on the website. .....oh if only I had an extra 12 hours in a day!!!!
This batch of mini, small and large plum puddings are making their way today to the gorgeous Rick Rutherford at his Blue Mountains Country Home Store http://www.rickrutherford.com/ . If you are up that way, make sure you pop into see him.
The faux plum puddings can be seen here in his beautiful Christmas room.

Also on the agenda for this week, I want to complete my ornament for my swap partner in the Handmade Ornament Swap that I am currently hosting. Here is a little teaser - all of these items shown here are somehow incorporated into the design. I have used many techniques and mediums and found lots of useful bits and bobs in my crafting box. Gosh, isn't it amazing what we hoard when it comes to craft/art supplies. When i was designing my piece I decided that I could really use a few tiny Burgundy beads and sure enough, down in the dark depths of my very large craft box, I found exactly what I needed. I only wanted a few and that was all there was too.
I will show you the finished piece when my partner has received it.
Apart from that, there will be more painting , orders to be completed AND of course Natasha's big prom night tomorrow night.......ooohhh I can't wait.
I'm planning on a day of pampering before slipping into my little vintage prom dress. So ladies, I will see you at the Prom.
