We had a visitor in the night

It wasn't just the sound of birds we awoke to this morning.....the squeals of delight from Aimee's room told us that the Tooth Fairy had in fact paid her a visit during the wee hours of the morning.

We had been waiting for what seemed like months for that pesky little tooth to fall out. Finally, a piece of chocolate was all that was needed to break the fragile thread that kept that little tooth hanging on. Can you tell I find this sort of thing tummy churning....aaaagh

Aimee's not all together pleased about this little gap - she has already worked out that another bigger tooth is not going to fit in that little space. I'm sure the orthodontist claps his hands every time we walk into his office!!

It is another beautiful spring day here today and I'm looking forward to painting outside again. The wind is carrying the perfume of my spring garden right down to the studio which just makes me want to be outside. I took this photo this morning of my 'Lavender Harvest Ladies' out in my lavender patch. This design was a pattern I designed for use in a magazine a few years ago. It is still very popular and one of my favorites.
